People say God doesn’t have favorites but that is not true because me and God go together real bad. Jk Jk Shout out to my baby daddy Jack for securing these tickets for our group. Not sure what Voodoo you used but I thank you every day.
Since most people weren’t able to get tickets, unless you wanted to pay $100+ for Charli (??), I will let you know what you missed!
All photos and videos are mine! I recommend downloading the app because there will be a lot of videos at the end of the letter!
The Venue
The show was originally going to be at the Knockdown Center and thank GOD it changed. I hate the Knockdown Center. Terrible Venue. The Brooklyn Paramount is gorgeous and conveniently near my job. It might be my new favorite venue besides MSG. The ceiling was gorgeous and the floor was a PROSENIUM1!!!! Since it was originally a theater in the early 1900s the back of the floor was elevated. It was perfect for a show like this. I am 5’4 so I wrote my platform docs to be able to see. I could see for the most part so I stayed in the middle. I was happy that people in the back didn’t have to worry about being able to see. If we had been at the Knockdown Center it would been a WAY different experience.
The Opener - The Dare
I heard of The Dare a year ago from New York Magazine. They interviewed him and called him “the non-nepo Julian Casablancas” LOL. They mentioned his new EP at the time “Sex”. I remember because they said that the cover was very risque. The Apple Music description is “Raunchy anthems that rekindle the glory days of New York dance-rock.” I fuck with his music. It makes a lot of sense that he is opening for Charli. He said trans rights: “I like girls with dicks” I know thats right! His music is perfect music for brat.
His set was cute! I was wondering how he was going to perform for 30 minutes since he only has 5 songs…….but he played some unreleased songs. The best part was when he brought out this symbol and was walking around hitting it. Perfect opener for this show.
The Crowd

The energy in the room was infectious. Everyone was there to have a good time. No one was being annoying or cunty (derogatory). I was prepared to fight a bitch if I had to. I love Charli but sometimes her fans are insane. I am happy that everyone was just there to have a good time. I LOVED so many outfits. My favorite outfit was someone wearing a brat green shirt with “vampire weekend” jadksjnajsndajklnsdaj. I NEED that shirt. I walked past them so I didn’t get a picture. My friend knows them and said that they are going to be selling shirts so if you want one keep your eyes peeled.
The Set List
I have no notes for the setlist. She performed everything from brat except “hello goodbye.” I was not expecting her to play I love It! That gagged me. One of the best pop songs ever made. Now that I think about it, that song is very bratty. Other highlights were Spring Breakers, Sympathy is a Knife2, Track 10, Club Classics into Unlock It, Von Dutch/Von Dutch Remix, Guess, and Party 4 U. The ONLY song I wish she added was Next Level Charli.
That is my favorite Charli song of all time and she hasn’t done it since the Charli era. It would work perfectly with her rave era and it is the perfect opener. The only song she performed from Charli was 1999 (lol). I personally wouldn’t have done that but it followed the rule because it was a fire remix. Excited to see her and Troye perform it at Sweat.
And nothing for you Crash! That makes sense. Honestly, I don’t see her performing any of the songs from that era ever again. Maybe “Twice” but that’s it. We all know she did that to fulfill her contract. We’ll always have New Shapes.
Charli XCX the brat that you are

This woman is a force. There is just no one like her. She is so revolutionary for music but also so human. Like Beyoncé I think people get wrapped up in the lights and the hair and don’t realize how smart she is. Not the Angels, but the people who are casual fans. She isn’t just a rave girl, she is a smart pop star who has references for days and truly just loves pop music.
I loved her outfit. I love that she is not wearing green this era. I don’t think she’s worn green yet since the shows started. This outfit reminded me of SZA.
This was probably the best/my favorite time seeing Charli. The first time I saw her was for the Charli tour in 2019 at Terminal 5. If you were there then you know how crazy that show was. The actual concert was great (besides her not bringing out any drag queens or guests - still mad about that Charlotte!) but the crowd was so insane that it tainted my memory. This was a perfect show (besides this rope she had that was supposed to work that didn’t lol).
Charli is one of my favorite artists because she inspires me to be my authentic self. While Charli XCX is her artist persona, with brat she blurred the lines between Charli XCX and Charli the person. I love how conversational and non-melodic the lyrics of this album are. I think this will inspire more people to write lyrics in that way. I don’t think she is actually a brat. I think it’s about her embracing a stereotype that people have put on her. Whenever I watch an interview with her I am always in awe of how funny and personable she is. I can tell that behind her persona is actually just a nice, funny, intelligent, insecure, regular person.
This was especially clear when she performed “So I.” Truthfully, I skip that song when I listen to the album because it makes me cry. Its just so sad. I am proud of her for writing it and putting it on the album. She overcame her guilt and internal embarrassment surrounding her relationship with late producer SOPHIE.
I feel a deep personal connection to her because we are both Leos. She revealed on Jake Shane’s podcast “Therapuss” that she has a virgo moon. That makes a lot of sense because she is a perfectionist. You wouldn’t think so but if you follow her and actually listen to what she says you can tell. Perfectionism doesn’t always mean you want things neat. She likes things to go her way. That combined with her Leo rising chile she had no other choice than to be a brat. I relate to her intensity and need to keep herself busy. I like how on brat she has party songs then will have a ballad in the middle of a rave album. It reminds me of that moment in the party when you somehow end up alone and are forced to listen to your thoughts. Until someone starts talking to you again and you suppress them.
Everything is Romantic is a career highlight and was also one of the best parts of the concert. That song is just so transcendent. This album really reminds me of Uffie. The way it’s all kind of just talk-singing. I admire her commitment to pushing herself as an artist. For this album it felt more of her trying something new in terms of songwriting versus sonically. While there are definitely new styles and structures she explores on this album, the most interesting this to me are the lyrics.
At what point are we going to realize that Charli is rapping on some of these songs. On Spring Breakers she’s talking so damn fast it feels like a rap song! There is nothing she can’t do and if you are not tuned in and on board I don’t know what to tell you.
Charli’s Mane
I am surprised that no one has asked Charli about her hair this era. Her hair has been my favorite thing about this era. She’s a Leo so it makes sense that she likes to have her hair big and full. This is the biggest it’s ever been and it looks like a lion’s mane.
Her entire thing this era has been returning to her rave roots. If you are a long-time Charli fan then you know that she grew up in raves and went to them when she was a teenager. When she was younger she had this wild, big, curly hair. The last time I saw her hair like this was in the True Romance era. Her hair being big again literally brings her back to her younger self. Big hair allows you to feel free. It also is obnoxious for anyone near you at a party/concert. That is the essence of brat. Not caring who you offend or turn off. Being your authentic true self regardless of what people are going to say about you.
Charli vs the rope 2024
The funniest part of the entire concert was when she came out for the encore and party 4 u started. There was a rope hanging from the ceiling that was supposed to light up from the floor. She stopped the song and went on a rant about how the rope hasn’t worked since she went on tour and that it’s fucking up her song. She said that by the next show it needs to be fixed. She prefaced ther ant by saying thst because she’s in her brat era she is going to talk about it. I loved it. I love when people commit to the bit.
I didn’t get a video of the rope before she accidentally pulled it down. But, I got the end of her rant and the beginning of Party 4 u.
Alright, enough intellectualizing enjoy some videos from the concert!
If you got tickets to SWEAT i’ll see you there! I think I am going to make a shirt that says “the airport” from Apple. If you see me say hi!

I Love It
It’s elevated so the back is higher than the front near the stage. Allowing the people in the back to be able to see.
The girl in this song is definitely Taylor swift - “don’t wanna see her backstage at my boyfriends show” like yeah……
