This episode didn’t move me as much as the last one. Let’s jump in.
Carrie
Carrie meets up with Lisette, her old neighbor Lisette.

Lisette gives her homemade jewelry that she made, which has her old apartment numbers on it.1 Lisette also complains about dating and accidentally throws her phone across the bar and doesn’t even attempt to go pick it up. Insane behavior.

Carrie is still stressed out about being long-distance with Aidan and tries to send him a long text message about the rats in her garden, but ultimately deletes it. Carrie decides to call exterminators, and they gut her entire garden. That interaction she had with the garden designer was so painful to watch. She’s asking him about his shirt, but he doesn’t want to talk about it. He’s asking her what she wants for her garden, but she has no idea. This woman is ridiculous. He did have a good line about the fact that her garden is bare, allowing for whatever is meant to come naturally.

Eventually, Aidan surprises her, and they finally discuss whether Carrie should be contacting him. Aidan says he overreacted when Wyatt first got in his accident and that it’s okay for Carrie to call or text him anytime. The next time she texts him is about a table that she feels is perfect for them. Aidan responds only with a thumbs down and this pisses Carrie off for days. She thinks she did her big one by responding only with the eyeroll emoji. We all know that Aidan is going to end up building them the perfect table, and all will be well. Is this the best storyline they could come up with?
Side note: I miss Carrie’s old apartment. This new one is gorgeous, though, but it’s so weird seeing her somewhere that isn’t there.
Miranda

Miranda becomes obsessed with this fake reality dating show, “Bi Bingo.” She keeps coming to this Mexican restaurant with Carrie (where they make the guacamole in front of you) just to talk to the waitress who is also obsessed. It was so painful to watch Miranda shoot her shot only to be met with “I’m straight with a husband and two kids.” Listen, Miranda, it happens to the best of us! Hopefully, something happens with her confirmed gay coworker Joy. She seemed really cool.
Charlotte

Charlotte’s storyline made the most sense out of all the OG characters. Charlotte and LTW overhear some of the moms at the school talking about a “college whisperer” and decide to stalk her and force her to meet with their kids. Charlotte also interrupts Lily and the ballet dancer, making out to tell her the news. Lily is obviously annoyed, but she and LTW’s son go and meet with the advisor. This was a different role for Kristian Shall, and I was kinda gagging. She needs to play more bitchy characters. She tells the kids to basically redo their entire application process and that they can’t mention that they’re minorities or any of their hobbies.
I would hate to be a kid today. We had it hard enough at the time, but these kids have it really bad.
Seema

Seema’s storyline was the most interesting.2 Her boss is tired of her going through men, so he sets her up with a matchmaker. The montage of her going on dates and rejecting them to their face was hilarious and inspiring! We need to be telling men about themselves to their face and in the moment!
The matchmaker tells Seema to change everything about herself and makes her go on a date with a man.
She becomes a quieter, agreeable, pastel version of herself. The date is going……fine until she reveals that she hasn’t been her actual self. He then gets up to go to the bathroom, then the matchmaker reveals that he actually left. Seema then fires the matchmaker and regains her dignity. I felt for Seema because imagine being in your 50s and still dating. That is a nightmare! I’m already having a terrible time dating in my 20s!
Hopefully, the next episode will be more eventful. Let’s just praise the lord that we didn’t have to see Carrie and Aidan have phone sex again.
Lisette, better be glad she’s cute because that necklace was ugly as hell.
and funny
Second the apartment bit. It's gorgeous, but it ain't the same!!
I felt zero chemistry between Aidan and Carrie this episode :( they’re basically in a long distance situation ship I hate this!! I sense the gardener is meant to be her new hottie as they said “what do you think?” To each other which is apparently her #relationshipgoals
