Justice for Stanford and Skipper! | And Just Like That S2 Finale (Part One)

Mom, Carrie is being delusional again!

This weekend is my birthday weekend so I am currently prepping for the party of the year aka my birthday party tonight. There aren’t any songs that really have to do with 24 that I acknowledge. So I get to dedicate a song of my choice to my next year. I’ve decided that this year the light is coming to get back EVERYTHING the darkness STOLE. AKA I’m soaked on ambition and verve and I am going to get EVERYTHING that I deserve. Kind of like how the light is coming is an incredible song and one day people will recognize it for the beautiful manifestation mantra that it is. This year is going to be my year whether it knows it or not!

Anyway, for those of you who lowkey make fun of how many pictures I take, you will be pleased to know that I did not take that many pictures this time because I simply did not feel like it lmfao. So without further ado let’s get into the apparent¹ first part of the finale.

I would say what the hell is Carrie wearing but I would just sound like a broken record at this point². It is nice that Carrie went to go see Steve’s new…..Clam shop? Hot Dog shop? I forgot what he said I just remember the combination being disgusting. However, I do think it is weird that Carrie’s hanging out with Steve with the intention of making Miranda feel bad about not coming. Carrie loves to be in everybody’s business but gets soooooo mad when someone tries to tell her about hers. The reunion of Aidan and Steve was really cute. They were always really good friends. I wouldn’t be surprised if Steve and Aidan stayed in touch this entire time. They did buy a bar together after all.

Charlotte’s entire plotline this episode made me so happy. She is finally getting some autonomy from her family and getting back to the bad bitch she’s always been! Harry had some nerve acting like he didn’t want to go give Rock their notebook. Charlotte was selling a painting to Sam Smith after all!!! I want to know what songs Charlotte likes of theirs. I would guess Stay With me and MAYBE one other one. Definitely not the gayer ones. Though it’s possible because she does have teenagers.

Now, where I have to read Charlotte a little bit is with her conversation in the store with LTW. White woman, how are you going to tell LTW that you are not going to respect her boundaries?? She said “I don’t want you to tell MY business to other people” and Charlotte said “lmfao I’m not going to do that.” I love her but that was crazy. White women really do just have some nerve I tell you….

I am happy that she sold her first painting and to a pretty major celebrity in Sam Smith’s defense! Charlotte looked SO good in the outfit she had drinks with her coworkers in. Now she went a little TOO hard when she threw her phone in the margarita pitcher. That was honestly such a serve though. She displayed how much disposable income she has to be able to just throw a phone away. It’s a mess because of the waste of it all…but, i’ll allow her the serve for the one time.

It took a lot of guts for LTW to say to Harry that she may not want to have this baby. This is why abortions are so important. Not every person who needs an abortion is a young teenager who made a mistake. Most times it’s actually people who already have enough kids and can’t afford to have another one! And that is perfectly fine! Harry seemed to be supportive but I could tell he was a little disappointed. He wasn’t getting that HE would also have to put in some effort in. Men are so quick to tell women to be strong when they aren’t doing any work!! For me it would kind of be a clear decision but I would definitely be sad about it. It is sad that she seemingly had a miscarriage. It’s weird to say that i’m happy that happened for her but I guess I am just happy that she won’t be stressed out about the decision anymore. With a decision like this I just wonder do you tell the other kids? Such an interesting and nuanced situation that is happening in this mess of a show.

Seema served with her man saying he loved her and this Cheetah outfit. Too bad we literally didn’t see her again for the entire rest of the episode. When are the writers going to realize she is the most interesting one out of all of them?? Lizette really is the luckiest white girl in New York. She got a historic serve of an apartment just for being a white skinny gorgeous talented girl. That’s sickening! I can’t even be mad. I still want to know the specifics of how Carrie is just giving this apartment to her. Also Carrie said that she was keeping that cat but I bet we will never see it again. Che watching their old comedy sets just seemed like a bad idea overall?

I could fight the writers for what they did to Stanford. I would have been happy if they just literally never mentioned him again. I was able to suspend disbelief this one time because he is literally never coming back to play the character. I would love to think that Stanford somehow went to tokyo and is convinced he found himself when really he is brainwashed. IFFFFF that made literally any sense for his character!!! Like what??? I do not believe that Stanfords ass would

1. Have the energy to manage a teenager?? He hates kids? When has he ever wanted to be around kids???

2. Move to Tokyo?? I feel like it would have made more sense if he moved somewhere where there were more white people no shade……. I just do not see it for Stanny. But hey maybe i’m wrong! He always was the more “woke” person in the friendship between him and Carrie. She literally treated him like an accessory but anyway.

Justice for Stanford. He didn’t deserve this bizarre ass write off.³

This damn comedy concert…..⁴ That is just such a funny way to describe a stand up comedy show. Carrie is DEAD WRONG for

1. Not telling Miranda that she should NOT go inside and see Che’s set. Anyone with a functioning brain could have figured out that Miranda going in there is a bad idea. All Stand up comedians do is tell jokes about their failed (or honestly sometimes happy) love lives.

2. NOT LEAVING WITH MIRANDA! I didn’t think about it when I first watched it but I saw some tweets about how bad of a friend Carrie was for that. Carrie has known Miranda for like 30+ years and Carrie just let Che dog Miranda out like that!!! Carrie has known Che for like 2 seconds compared to her and Miranda’s friendship. For Carrie to not make sure that Miranda was okay and leave with her was not only a bad look but one of the worst things I think she’s ever done to Miranda if not THE worst. Carrie that was INSANE.

It’s not not even like Che was eating so Carrie just HAD to see the end. The jokes weren’t even funny! That is the biggest crime of all! Che you’re on your own for that one. I went on one date with a standup comedian that (thankfully) went nowhere and if I ever found out he talked about me in his set and the joke wasn’t even funny I would beat his ass. There is no excuse.

The Skipper line took me OUT!!!!! It was an obvious jump scare but I allowed it because it got me. The writers definitely put that in there for the gag of it all because she really did just never speak to Skipper again. And Skipper really liked her!! She just wasn’t into him for some reason! Carrie was gagged too! That was Carrie’s friend and even Carrie didn’t keep in touch with him! That was some Season 1 tea for the OG fans. Shout out to Skipper. He was honestly super cute and didn’t deserve what they did to him.

I did not get any pictures of Aidan sobbing in the car after finding out that his son drove himself into a tree. That is such an interesting development of the plot. For a second there they really had me believing that Carrie and Aidan were going to work out this time. But, now I KNOW they aren’t going to work out. Or at least they shouldn’t.

Carrie heard Aidan say that he should have been there for his son and found the first way to say something insensitive and make it all about her. “Bones heal” is just such a selfish thing for her to say. Everyone knows she said that but really meant “Wyatt will be fine! You can still live with me half of the time! Please don’t leave me!” She could have told him that it is going to be okay, that he will be there for Wyatt next time, not to beat himself up about that because he couldn’t have predicted the future. I don’t know some type of response like a normal person??? I really hope that at the end of their relationship this time that Aidan reads her just one more good time.

Who is Carrie without Aidan? Who is Carrie without Big? We are entering a really interesting time in Carrie’s life where she won’t have some old love to fall back on. If she wants love, she will actually have to put herself out of her comfort zone and go get it. I can’t wait to see her try and fail to do that. Somehow she will find a way to not do any work but get everything she wants. Honestly, maybe I need to start thinking like Carrie because she must be doing something right if she always gets what she wants……….hm much to think about. 1. I really thought this was the last episode so I am sad that the Samantha cameo did not premiere on my birthday :(

2. She really does look good in everything though I will give her that.

3. Okay but I did just find out that the actor who plays him wasn’t even actually gay and when I tell you that GAGGED me. Phew. Gone too soon because I have SO many questions.

4. I will always call it that because Miranda called it that in Season 1.
